When Moms Take Over 2019 NY Auto Show

Share

Annually I attend the NY International Auto Show thanks to Scotty Reiss from A Girls Guide to Cars.  While it is a fun night without kids and seeing my other journalist and influencer friends it is also about the CARS!  This year I spent the majority of the day checking out the newest SUVs and vans for carseat connections.  More on that soon from AGGTC, we will share.

Toyota sponsored the Girls Night Out event, this year there new Hybrid Highlander for 2020 was on display, we were the few who actually sat inside, the display screen is HUGE!  Toyota shared last year about their Corolla and not much has changed in that realm of it still being on the road hundreds of thousand miles later.  Also they have the electric and hybrid choices and affordable! Scotty shared during the opening remarks that women influence or buy 85% of all cars.  Thinking about it, we pick out our own vehicles and also would have say with our significant others and children. We are a force.

This year there was a more obvious feel towards the electric and hybrid vehicles, that or I was just more aware.   Families and people are going more and more green, they are earth friendly and trying to make their footprint smaller.  While years ago the electric and hybrid vehicles were small sedans or even smaller now they are full size SUVs and seat 7-8 people.  They are pick up trucks and functional, everyday cars, not just “station cars” like they were years back.

Some of my favorites of the show were the Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot and Audi Q7, and Subaru Forester (my new ride).  Mine were based for their size, passenger room and carseat connections.  There new styles and features just keep coming and outdoing the next.

Want a 4 pack of tickets to the NY Auto Show? Comment below on which car you are most excited to see!  We will pick someone Thursday 25th, 2019 by noon.
