Our List of 2019 Tree Lighting and Holiday Events in Westchester, Dutchess and Putnam Counties.

 

Westchester-

  • November 23, Tree Lighting Celebration, 6pm – 9pm Cross County Mall- Yonkers
    • The Annual Tree Lighting Celebration will include a concert from Renaissance Youth Center’s Music with a Message Band, most recently featured on Good Morning America. Plus, family friendly activities including strolling characters, food vendors, ice skating and more. From the North Pole to the City of Yonkers, Santa will make his grand entrance in a classic red dune buggy, and then be available for photos and visits with children throughout the night.
  • Friday November 29, Tree Lighting 5pm, Kensico Dam
    • Annual Tree lighting and Westchester Winter Wonderland Kick Off
  • December 7, Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting– Horace Greeley House Chappaqua 3:30-6:30
    • Holiday open house, which includes a holiday sing-along, old-fashioned crafts workshop, a visit from Santa, and lots more—including the chance to help get the tree ready for the season. 5pm Lighting.
  • December 7, Annual Holiday Lights Parade and Tree Lighting Veteran’s Memorial Field- Yorktown 6:30
    • For some flashier fun, this event goes beyond tree lighting to include the Holiday Electric Lights Parade Spectacular—featuring a visit from Santa!
  • December 7, Irvington Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony– Irvington 4:30
    • This event begins with a live musical performance, before the a tree-lighting ceremony and refreshments.
  • December 7, Tuckahoe’s Winterfest Depot Square Tuckahoe, 5-8pm 
    • This festive tree-lighting event goes all out with a holiday music and a visit from Santa—plus, it continues the next day with a petting zoo, and lots more! 2 day event  12/2  12pm-5pm
  • December 7, Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, Tarrytown, Patriot’s Park 2pm 
    • 2pm start 5pm tree lighting  Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at Patriot’s Park at 5:00 pm. Starting at 2:00 pm, the TaSH holiday market will host live music, Santa visits (starting at 3:30 pm), and children’s activities, in addition to food and gift vendors.
  • December 8, Annual Christmas Tree Lighting– Fire Department, Pound Ridge, 4-6pm
    • Enjoy a fun afternoon watching the lighting of the tree, which kicks off at 4 p.m.
  • December 8, Tree Lighting, St. Luke’s Church, Katonah,5:30-7:30
    • Enjoy the annual tree and menorah lightings
  • December 1 City Lights, Bright Holiday Nights Tree Lighting– White Plains Tibbet’s Park 4-6pm
    • Ring in the season as the Mayor of White Plains lights the city’s holiday tree. Enjoy carolers, refreshments and visits with Santa. Court Street.
  • December 23, Menorah Lighting, 6pm -Cross County Mall- Yonkers
    • Join Cross County Shopping Center for a special Chanukah Menorah Lighting on Monday, December 23 at 6pm. Chabad of Yonkers will light the menorah in celebration of the festival of lights, enjoy live music, cultural dancing and delicious treats! The event will take place on The Green, near NY&CO and Michael Kors.

Dutchess-

  • December 1, Festival of Lights,6-9pm Mesier Park- Wappingers
    • Please join us for the 8th Annual Festival of Lights Parade!  We will celebrate the start of the holiday season with the arrival of Santa and Mrs Claus.  Come sit on santa’s lap, visit our craft tent, do some Holiday shopping with our vendors and have dinner in the park!  Parade kicks off at 6pm at West Academy St.
  • December 14, LaGrange Festival of Lights Parade, 6:30-8pm, Route 55 Business Corridor- LaGrange
    • Join us on Saturday, November 24th at 6:30pm for the very FIRST Town of LaGrange, Holiday Parade of Lights.  Parade will begin at Arlington High School and move west along Route 55 to Freedom Road.
      Please bring a new unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots. Drop boxes will be located on either end of the route.  Arrive early to get the perfect spot for the best view!

  • November 30, Decoration Day and Parade of Lights!,  3pm PINE PLAINS
    • We decorate today! We will meet at 3pm Santa, cocoa and cookies from 3pm on.  Parade at 5pm
  • December 1, Rhinebeck Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Parade of Lights 3pm-6pm, Rhinebeck Bank
    • Join us for our annual tradition of lighting the Village tree! We will have several organizations and vendors on hand, as well as carriage rides through the Village provided by the Gentle Giants 4H. Parade of Lights with Santa will take place at 5:00 with the Christmas tree lighting immediately following.
      Entertainment, food and activities from all local organizations and clubs.
  • December 6, Downtown Poughkeepsie
    Get in the holiday spirit at this free event! The City of Poughkeepsie, in conjunction with the Bardavon, and many others will present the 26th annual Celebration of Lights Parade and Fireworks – event begins at 6:30pm.
  • December **, Tree Lighting, Wappingers-  Schlathaus Park, 5pm 
  • December 7, Union Vale Festival of Lights,  Tymor Park Senior Room, 4:30pm
    • Join us to kick off the Holiday Season with some light refreshments, some Holiday Music, Christmas Caroling and an opportunity to take a picture with Santa!!   Holiday Lighting Ceremony at 6pm!!
  • December 1, CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING and MENORAH LIGHTING CEREMONY, East Fishkill 5pm 
    • COMMUNITY CENTER: 890 ROUTE 82  This annual hometown tradition will consist of caroling with the East Fishkill Chorus, a visit from Santa, Snacks and Refreshments.
  • December 6, Pawling’s Decemberfest and Tree Lighting, Village, 6pm

Putnam-

  • November 30, Chamber Park, Mahopac Menorah and Tree Lighting 4:30pm
    • Holiday in the Park- Mahopac Annual Event
  • December 6th Mahopac Falls Tree Lighting, 7-11pm Firehouse- Mahopac Falls
    • Family, Friends, Our Community – Everyone is welcome!!
      Come on down, see Santa, and help light our brand new Christmas Tree to ring in the holiday season. Festivities begin at 7pm at our Main Station on 6n and Santa is to arrive at 7:30pm
      – Enjoy food & refreshments
      – Decorate your own COOKIES!!!
      – Write letters to Santa
  • December 7st, Holiday on the Lake, All Day (Tree 7:30), Rt 52, Carmel
    • The annual Holiday on the Lake celebration will be held along Route 52 in Carmel on Saturday, Dec. 1. Activities fill the day beginning with our pancakes with santa breakfast held at the firehouse which runs from 8am to noon. The events will lead up to highly anticipated Parade of Lights begins at 7 p.m. which concludes with the lighting of 75 decorated trees that line the shore of Lake Gleneida.The Carmel Fire Department will be escorting Santa Claus in the parade on one of our fire trucks.
  • December 7, Brewster Holiday Caroling & Tree Lighting, 5:15pm Village of Brewster

  • December 7th Putnam Lake Fire Department, Christmas Parade at 7pm 
  • December  , Tree Lighting, 6pm Village of Cold Spring
    • The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting will take place on Saturday, December 8th at the Bandstand. Festivities will begin at 6:00 pm. Santa will arrive at 6:30. Come and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies and greet Santa.
