Pop-up Ice Skating Rink, Tree Lighting and NEW Frozen Themed Holiday Party!

 

Here is this year’s 2019 Holiday Happenings at Cross County Shopping Center.

SANTA PHOTOS, November 9 – December 24

Santa will be at Cross County Shopping Center for photos with children of all ages – including pets!  Visits are FREE and each child who visits with Santa receives a gift and candy cane. NEW in 2019, guests can make a “Fast Pass Reservation” for greater flexibility in visiting Santa. Reservations are not required but recommended.  (Santa’s Fast Pass is a third-party reservation platform utilized by Cherry Hill Programs, the photo provider at Santa’s house, for advanced reservations, pre-purchased photo packages and merchandise sales. By purchasing a Fast Pass, the customer is locking in an arrival time for their visit with Santa and is greeted through a dedicated reservation line.) Fast pass reservation includes a convenience fee starting at $4.95, based on demand. Santa’s Village is located between Gap and Bath & Body Works.

 

Pet Photos with Santa: November 11, 18, 25 and December 2, 9, from 5:15pm – 8pm
Photo op for our furry friends! Dogs & Cats only. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.

 

Santa Photo Hours are as follows:

November 9 – December 15

  • Monday – Thursday, 11am-8pm (Breaks: 1pm-1:45pm and 4:30pm-5:15pm)
  • Friday – Saturday, 10am – 9pm (Breaks: 1pm-1:45pm and 4:30pm-5:15pm)
  • Sunday, 11am – 7pm (Break: 2:30pm-3:15pm)

December 16 – December 24

  • Daily, 10am – 9pm
  • Tuesday, 12/24, 8am – 6pm

 

POP-UP HOLIDAY ICE SKATING RINK, November 9 – January 5, 2020

Guests can ice skate at the holiday pop-up ice skating rink throughout the holiday season. Admission is $10 per person and includes skate rentals and a one-hour session. The pop up is not made of real ice, it is a synthetic floor which glides slower than real ice making it perfect for first time and young skaters. The rink is also more environmentally friendly because it does not require electricity or water. Throughout the season guests will enjoy a DJ, Character Skating, Themed Nights and more. The rink will be located in the middle of the shopping center, between Zales and Victoria’s Secret, across from Santa’s Village

 

TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION, November 23, 6pm – 9pm

The annual Cross County Shopping Center Tree Lighting Celebration will include a concert from Renaissance Youth Center’s Music with a Message Band from the Bronx. Family friendly activities including strolling characters, food trucks, ice skating and more will also be provided. From the North Pole to the City of Yonkers, Santa will make his grand entrance, and then be available for photos and visits with children throughout the night.  The tree will be lit at 7:45pm.

 

THANKSGIVING AND BLACK FRIDAY, November 28-29

Cross County Shopping Center will open on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28 at 5pm and will remain open until midnight. The mall will re-open on Friday, November 29 at 6am until 10pm. On Black Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30, we will host a DJ in the common area. FROZEN THEMED HOLIDAY PARTY, December 7, 12pm – 4pm

With the release of Disney’s NEW Frozen movie, Cross County will host a festive Frozen themed holiday party throughout the shopping center. Activities include character skating, photos with Santa, music, movie ticket giveaways, cotton candy and more. The event is free.

 

MENORAH LIGHTING, Monday, December 23, 6pm

Join Cross County Shopping Center for a special Chanukah Menorah Lighting with the Chabad of Yonkers. The Chabad Rabbi will light the menorah in celebration of the festival of lights, and guests will enjoy live music, cultural dancing and delicious treats. The event will take place near New York & Company.

 

HOLIDAY FOOD TRUCK MARKET, November 15 – January 2, 2020

Shoppers will enjoy tasty treats and savory snacks at the holiday food truck market taking place in November and December. There will be two markets, one from November 15 to December 6 and another from December 12 to January 2, 2020. There will be 6 different trucks at each market. Trucks will be parked on The Green, in the center of the mall and will be open for lunch and dinner.

 

TOY DRIVE, November 9 – December 18

Cross County Shopping Center will be collecting NEW and UNWRAPPED toys to benefit ANDRUS in Yonkers. ANDRUS is a family centered nonprofit organization, providing mental health treatment and support, special education, and other social services to over 4,500 children and families each year throughout NY. Guests are asked to bring toys and gifts such as Lego’s, sports items, dolls, gift cards and beauty products to the Santa house. Kids age range from 6 to 14 years of age. If clothing is bought, we recommend sizing of children’s large or adult small.
