So who else was shocked to see snow this week! My daughters of course were very happy to have a little more snow since they felt so cheated this winter. I on the other hand could do without it! Whichever side you happen to fall on here are some places to keep your kid occupied and warm!
Friday April 8th
Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie
Museum Showcase Early Learning Junction – This guided play experience will give parents and kids new ideas of what do to in this popular exhibit space. We will focus on trains and read some fun train stories. This program is free with paid museum admission.
Saturday April 9th
Clearpool Camp, Carmel
Amphibian Hunt -See how Clearpool’s wetlands wake up to spring and explore the sounds and signs of frogs and salamanders. Join a family-friendly day to find and identify the native amphibian population. Data collected will be used for Clearpool’s ongoing species tally.

Build and Grow – Build a bird house to help keep our feathered friends warm!
Sunday April 10th
Stony Kill Farm, Wappingers Falls
Open Barn – Enjoy a guided tour of a working farm with live animals from 11am to 1pm. Formely a part of the Verplanck family estate, which also included the Mount Gulian Historic Site in Beacon, a Colonial homestead also open to visitors. Trails and grounds are open to all from sunrise to sunset for hiking and nature enjoyment.
