Dinner, Horses, Knights – Oh My!

The kids and I in the great hall at Medieval Times

Knights fighting, horse riding, eating with your hands and ORANGES?  Well maybe not the last part but its’ a joke you have to attend a show to understand.   We attended a show apart of a series for influencers.    Check out our last review after reading this one first.

Did you know you can actually buy these?!

As a part of our visit we arrived early and got to meet with one of the head knights and then learn some rad moves like knights.  We went onto the sand where the actual show takes place and used wooden swords to pretend we were knights, minus the horses.

Why we like the show:

The suspense of which knight with win of course!  After the challenges each knight completes they “fight”.  Each knight only ONE will come out on top, battling it out to the ground or should I say sand.  Jumping off their horses to be on feet with different weapons they have trained on. These are done 1 vs 1.   Our knight won! The knight who wins also gives out a special ribbon sash to one lucky lady in the whole audience.  Although we did not receive that my daughter did get “Queen of the Tournament ” from our knight for our section, each section has one awarded.

After each challenge the knights receive flowers from the Queen and throw into their section, all the ladies want to receive one so cheer loudly!!

Tickets:

There are different packages for attending, I do recommend the Royalty Upgrade due to closeness of seats, the higher chance for kids to catch a flower or sash (still no guarantees) and priority seating too.

Queen’s Royalty VIP includes closer seats (maybe you will catch a rose too), the team banner flag, and lanyard.

Locations:

There are 9 locations in the USA/Canada with NJ being the closest to the Hudson Valley just over an hour away from the 84/684 interchange.  If you are traveling, check out Myrtle Beach and Florida as other prime locations.

NJ Address: Lyndhurst Castle- 149 Polito Avenue, Lyndhurst NJ 07071

MOM Tip:

After the show, the knights and queen come out for pictures and autographs.  We use the flags and banners for autographs to remember the show by.  Jack also took selfies with the “stars”, it’s great that they come out and meet the kids after the show, so don’t run out after it ends.
