2021 Westchester’s Winter Wonderland
One of the coolest Holiday traditions is back again! Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza Returns to Kensico Dam Plaza We went last year and the kids could barely stay inside the windows looking at everything. They cannot wait to go back and this is even my middle schooler. Fun for the whole family returns with new features: Peace on Earth Animated Light Display, Elf Disco, 30 Foot Glittering Snowflakes, Expanded Snowstorm Central, and More!
Westchester Parks Foundation, the only organization dedicated exclusively to promoting and supporting Westchester County Parks, and partnership with the Westchester County Parks Department, to help create a safe and memorable holiday experience the whole family can enjoy. Guests will be dazzled and delighted with 1.2 miles of a holiday lights, larger than life displays, live characters, and Santa right from the warmth and safety of your own car!
Starting Friday November 26th at 6 p.m., the festive celebration takes place five consecutive weeks through January 2, 2022. The event will be open seven nights a week starting at 6pm Monday-Friday and 5pm on weekends. *End times vary per night. Reservations are required to avoid additional surcharges. Tickets are $25 Off Peak, $35 Peak. (+additional cost for large passenger vans/limos, call for special reservations). And there are also Wegman’s snack boxes available to enjoy for $15 extra along the ride. Be sure to check the box when purchasing your ticket because they are not available for purchase on site. Con Edison also returns as a Platinum Sponsor of the Event, helping to light up the sky at Kensico Dam Plaza for all to enjoy!
Guests will be dazzled and delighted along the 1.2 miles of holiday lights with a new electrifying Elf Disco, a whimsical display of jubilant children from around the world, a breathtaking Peace on Earth LED display with animated trumpets and angels, and two new thirty-foot snowflakes to light up the largest holiday Christmas tree in Westchester! And if that is not enough, there is also a bigger and better snowstorm central that the whole family can enjoy right from the warmth and safety of your own car!
Kensico Dam Plaza will feature a dazzling holiday light show that will transform the iconic Westchester County Park into a magical Winter Wonderland! Guests will experience thousands of stunning lights, like nothing else in the area! Some of the attractions include:
- FIRESIDE FOREST: A family at home enjoying the holidays dreaming of great times.
- WINTER WINDS WAY: Old Man Winter blowing beautiful snowflakes swirling in the air.
- PEACE ON EARTH PLACE: Floating stained-glass angels herald a message of good.

- CHRISTMAS TREE PLAZA: Westchester’s largest Christmas Tree, standing at 40 ft
- LAND OF PACKAGES: Entrancing light display of elves at work packing presents.
- TWIRLING.TUNNEL: 100 feet of swirling colors will transport you into the holiday season.
- FA LA LA LA LA LANE: A favorite holiday song brought to light!
- SNOWSTORM CENTRAL: A magical Winter Wonderland square where the snow flies everywhere.
- CHARACTER CORNER: Your favorite adventure, princesses, cartoon characters LIVE right outside your car window.
- CANDY CANE LANE: Towering lit up red and white candy canes will delight children of all ages.
- SANTA CLAUS: The grand finale…Santa Claus will greet every car in person at the end of your Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Holiday Light Extravaganza.
- ELVES PLAYGROUND: Elves playing hide and seek behind the trees.
Special event nights will include the official tree lighting celebration on opening night and a family-friendly festive way to ring in the New Year at Winter Wonderland, as we always do!
Holiday classics will be simulcast through your vehicle’s FM radio, setting the mood from the moment you enter the park. Guests should allow 25-30 minutes to drive thru the attraction. Additional attractions include favorite elves Ned and Albert, glittering angels of peace, 50-foot dove, dancing trees, glowing snowballs, candy cane lane, a spectacular 100-foot light tunnel, Westchester’s favorite 40-foot Christmas tree, Santa and friends, and more!
