Birthday Parties- everyone always has questions on where to hold them, what is best, prices and opinions: have you been to a party there or hosted a party there. So we asked our mom-experts to pick out a few party places in their county to share the places they like the best, a 3 part series.

Stew Leonard’s, Yonkers

General Information: Stew Leonard’s Yonkers birthday parties are known for the wide range of crafts offered. Party games like limbo, musical chairs, parachute and freeze dance are played, while three party hosts serve pizza, juice, ice cream and birthday cake. Children create their own sundaes from Stew’s ice cream department with a variety of toppings. Each party also includes a visit from WOW the Cow, a special nametag for birthday child, invitations, decoration and fun music.

Additional Information: We have attended a 2 year old birthday party at Stew’s and also hosted my daughter’s 4th there. I was surprised to learn they offered parties (above their retail store) but it made sense- my kids love Stews! Out of all the birthday’s we’ve hosted this was my favorite. It really included a lot for the price. Party starts with a craft (we’ve done coloring ceramic piggy banks and coloring bird houses- nice quality crafts and more are offered), then hand painting, then games, then pizza, then Wow Cow, then make your own sundaes, dancing, and finally cake. The kids were constantly entertained by the party hosts and it was easy for the parents. And let’s be honest- the parents being happy at a party is important. Parents could go shopping while the kids partied. Also, Stew’s offers their entire catering menu as add-on’s so it was a no brainer for great food for the adults. It’s also worth mentioning it’s in a nice big room.
World Cup Gymnastics, Chappaqua
Best Ages:4-10
Average Cost: $499 for 14 kids, $25 each additional (Gold package)
Does it include anything special: Includes one hour of supervised gymnastics and 40 minutes in your own private party room. Your own party room attendant to set up, serve and clean your private room. Complimentary World Cup Gymnastics shirt, a mylar balloon and a Birthday Certificate for the birthday child. Customized World Cup Gymnastics Invitations ready for you to mail. One Large Pizza Slice for each child. ($20 for each additional large pizza.) Juice box or water bottle for each child. Tablecloths, plates, cups, forks, spoons, and napkins. You are responsible for the cake.
General Information: World Cup Gymnastics features popular birthday parties that’ll make you flip! These unique, fun-filled parties consist of an hour of supervised gymnastics activities and 40 minutes in your own private party room. Additional Information: We have attended more parties at World Cup than I can count. The parties were mainly for ages 4 and 5 but we’re for both boys and girls. Only a few of whom actually take gymnastics class at the gym. It seems to be a real hit with the preschool crowd- but don’t kid yourself, this is a serious gymnastics gym and it’s always busy with big kids practicing. The kids always love the gymnastics portion and there is ample space for the adults to watch them in the busy gym.
Fun Craft, Scarsdale

Does it include anything special: This all-inclusive basic party package includes an age appropriate arts and craft followed by your very own personalized disco dance party with a live DJ playing all your favorite music and karaoke. Also includes- pizza, unlimited drinks, cupcakes, all paper products, invitations, and favors.
General Information: Fun Craft offers an assortment of crafts and two great party rooms. On a daily basis it is home to art classes, art camps, story time, and after school care. Perhaps most popular is the plaster craft and ceramic craft options for both children and adults.

Additional Information: We have attended parties and hosted our daughter’s 5th party here. The kids all had an amazing time. Included in the price they got to do their plaster craft (the first half of the party) then were entertained by a DJ in a room full of light shows and music. Another room available also has video games in it. There is a huge list of add-ons and catering options available. Although we felt the add-on’s were a little pricey, the quality was great!
Legoland, Yonkers

Additional Information: We keep getting invited to birthday parties at Legoland and for whatever reason we can never make it. However, we have visited Legoland and the kids loved it. Tons of activities for the children and top quality Disney-esque rides. If parent’s choose to drop-off at the party it’s a great location for the adults to enjoy lunch of shopping.
Muscoot Farm, Katonah
Best Ages: Preschool aged children
Average Cost: $100 for use of the activity building, $35 for use of the picnic tables, $35 for use of the arbor tables, $75 to add on a hayride (each space is designed to accommodate up toe 30 people)
Does it include anything special: This is a great DIY option for a party at a popular, kid friendly outdoor space. Only includes the space rental and scavenger hunt sheets.

General Information: Birthday parties are welcome at Muscoot Farm on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon by reservation only. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available to rent with the option of a hayride for an additional fee mid April through October. Indoor space is available April through November. Scavenger hunt sheets with crayons will be available to all birthday parties.
