Highland Community Thanksgiving Luncheon. Thanksgiving Luncheon is made possible by our local businesses, churches, and generous individuals who gladly offer their time to prepare a Thanksgiving Meal for families & individuals in need. **I personally have helped set up this event in the past by peeling potatoes and setting up stations in the cafeteria. A lot of hard work goes into this event for all community members. It’s a wonderful place to go if you find yourself with no where to go.
Family of Woodstock’s 39th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner
The dinner is open to everyone. The Mescal Hornbeck Community Center in Woodstock will be closed for renovations. The Overlook Methodist Church is generously opening its doors to the community for this wonderful day. The church hall only seats 110 people at a time so they will be having two seatings and doing more take out/delivery. This green alternative to the busiest shopping day of the year will allow community members to learn about a variety of environmentally conscious lifestyle choices and products that will be sure to inspire and inform, most of which can be purchased locally. 2014 proceeds will benefit the STS Playhouse. The STS Playhouse will sponsor and judge a costume contest this year … so be sure to sign in a costume. 2.4 mile run, ramble, trot, walk or wobble. Sinterklaas Kingston
