TRAVEL: Storybook Land
We always like to try something new over the summer. After visiting a local amusement park, it was clear that my soon-to-be 2nd grader is obsessed with rides. Our next family adventure was leading us to the Jersey Shore and we wanted to fuel her obsession. Sure, there are rides at the boardwalk, but those quickly get expensive. A co-worker suggested we check out Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. A visit to their website confirmed that we needed to plan a visit.
The minute we pulled up Storybook Land, I knew we were in for a good time. Parking was right out front, not down the road, and free! Free parking?!? Unheard of around here!
Walking in to the park, you are greeted by a huge statue of Mother Goose. She makes a fantastic photo op! Storybook Land is celebrating it’s 62nd year! The property is dotted with rides and attractions devoted to your favorite childhood stories. A blast from the past of all your favorites.
The park is laid out very nicely and is shaded! No sitting in the hot sun melting while the kiddos are on rides. We had little to no wait time on the day we visited. And the rides are unlimited with your ticket purchase.
Storybook Land has food available for purchase at several locations throughout the park. The restrooms are clean and air-conditioned!!!
Storybook Land also features a splash pad. We will take advantage of that the next time we visit. They also host Fall and Christmas Events. Check their hours before visiting and for the special events.
My family, especially my daughter, had an awesome time at Storybook Land. She keeps asking when we can visit again! Soon, my dear, soon!
