Travel: Field Station Dinosaur

Share

Open for the summer, a dinosaur park hidden in the fields of Leonia, New Jersey.  A stop for any dinosaur lover.   Field Station Dinosaur is a mix of dinosaurs on display and exhibits about prehistoric features and movies.  We were invited to check out all the dinosaurs as media so we could share our thoughta with you today.

Interactive parts include kids collecting stamps to become Junior Paleontologists.  Checking out movies, we watch SEA Rex in 3D, which is a great escape from the heat or rain.  The kids enjoy having heir own camera or borrowing mine to get their own shots.  It’s a great place to let them practice and see from their perspective.

I would suggest about 2 hours time at park, depending on how many shows you want to see, the movie is 22 minutes.  Suggested ages 2- interested level.   Kids over 2 need a ticket which start at $16.50 and $21.50 for park plus movie.

Tips:

  • Sunscreen (everything is in a mostly open field)
  • Stoller friendly also can rent them
  • Food truck and picnic tables
  • Exit through Gift Shop.  Just to be prepared.
