Thomas and Percy at Essex Steam Train
On SundayApril 26th, my son Jack went to ride Thomas in Connecticut with his grandparents. This was Jack’s 4th Day Out With Thomas and 3rd at Essex, he loves it!
This year marks Thomas’s 70th Anniversary, 70 years can you believe that, we have been fans for just 4 now. I do know all our trains will be put away for his future cousins or kids, maybe they will celebrate the 100th Anniversary.
As usual Essex provides a day out that the whole family can enjoy. Starting with a train ride over to the main station. Once there if they have rides set up to entertain the kids between riding the trains (all included in the ticket cost so ride again and again). Indoors you can meet Sir Topham Hatt, play at the train tables and shop. They have exclusive DOWT shirts and trains. Jack picked out the DOWT 2015 Caboose.
There are food vendors if you plan on eating while there, remember most of the DOWT across the US are rain or shine, so go prepared.
