Due to popular demand a requested encore production of The Wizard of OZ with a professional community theater cast.

The Wizard of Oz beloved cast returns for the full show featuring Gabrielle Sansone as Dorothy, a 15 yr. old who has a voice similar to Judy Garland. Her performance with acting and singing received rave reviews as she was called the new Judy Garland.

Liz Peterson, who played the wicked witch of the west mesmerized the audience young and old with her character and screams for another time.

The young Munchkins were loved by all as they sang and danced in the Land of OZ and helped Dorothy find the yellow brick road. Doug Bagnasco   brought the house down with his comic relief.  Scott Schutzman, who has acted in multiple films, commercials, and television shows, will play “Wizard”.

After 110 years The Wizard of OZ returns to Peekskill

In November 1905, The Colonial Theater in Peekskill presented a play production of “The Wizard of Oz”. Lyman Frank Baum, writer of the children’s novel, attended Peekskill Military Academy for two years, which brings a special connection to this upcoming Peekskill performance.

The New Yellow Brick Road is now in progress with Antonia Arts, Inc. a creative and performing arts not for profit organization based out of Peekskill.

Scarlett Antonia the producer has finally gotten over the rainbow to have her dream show for Peekskill finally on stage after 4 years of patience tenacity and waiting with her chosen “Dorothy” Gabrielle Sansone   Ms Antonia, a professional in the performing arts, has also produced CATS and ANNIE at the Paramount to sold out houses.

The show is directed by Broadway Professional Melodie Wolford, notorious for her performance in 42nd Street. The production will consist of actors and actresses from ages seven to sixty years. They come from as far south as Yonkers and north as Poughkeepsie

This beloved production is for all ages and as originally promoted in 1939 a show for the childlike spirit in all of us.
