Teal Pumpkin Project

Share

As a mother of two, I am fortunate that neither of my kids have food allergies.
However, we have plenty of friends who have to worry about food intake of their children, and on occasion, of the children near their children due to severity of food allergies.

This Halloween, support The Teal Pumpkin Project and kids with food allergies by offering a non-food trick or treat option!

The Teal Pumpkin Project is so easy. Simply paint a (real or fake) pumpkin teal (And, the website above even offered a free printable poster for your door if you can’t paint a pumpkin) to display to let families know that you are offering a non-food trick-or-treat item for children.

There are so many easy ways to do this– and you don’t have to open up your rolls of pennies either! Lots of trinkets (bubbles, rings, pencils etc…) are available that kids will love finding in their treat baskets if they can’t have something edible you may be offering!

Halloween can be scary enough…. let’s not make it due to food allergies.
