As an active household, we are always going on an adventure here or there; either just playing in the back yard or running through the woods with the dogs training them for hunting season. For some things we aren’t always ready with gear, climbing trees in flip-flops? Its been done but should not be repeated. With the winter upon us, its snowing today! I was looking for shoes/boots for the kids to where everyday but useful if it is snowing, raining or we decide to go geocaching in the woods, or hiking for snakes, frogs and “bears” as Charlotte says. After searching for a multi-purposeful boot, I found what I was looking for at StrideRite– Merrell Boots.
Enter Merrell’s Chameleon Mid Lace Waterproof boot, best part is they come in girl and boy colors! A lace closure, waterproof suede and mesh upper boot with the M-Select DRY updates by Merrell. Since getting them they have worn them everywhere, they are great for school on snowy, wet days since they are fashionable and can be worn all day long. The kids claim their feet are warm, and they like their boots for traction on the bottom, so they “can walk on ice” according to Jack. We walked all over the NY Botanical Gardens in the pouring rain last weekend and their feet were dry the whole time (wish I could have said about my feet)!
For the amount of use we are getting out of these shoes, its a good investment, they can be worn year round on all our adventures now without worrying.
I love the color combinations, the purple and pink is perfect for Charlotte and the greens, browns and oranges for Jack are classic looking boy boots. I have dressed them up, down and just paired with everyday jeans.
We are giving away a $50 gift card for Stride Rite Shoes!! Enter here today!
