Have you seen Santa yet? We went Friday for our annual Christmas picture with Santa in our PJs. We visit the Danbury Fair Mall annually for our Santa picture, starting when Jack was just 6 months old and following year with his new sister.
Santa pictures as a favorite past time, the crying of some children, laughs of another and great smiles. We have always been a Santa obsessed family, we do the pictures once and then visit him overtime we are at the mall. He is great at playing along along and “remembering” what the kids want and also this year told my son, he ‘can’t bring a Cat without mommy and daddy’s permission and they are better family gifts after Christmas’, buying us time to avoid the new animal additions. Great save Santa!
While some Santa lines can be long the #SantaHQ line has entertainment at different stations. Playing games, making an “elfie video” where they take your picture (multiple people can be in one video” and morph us into elves , the kids get a kick out of, you can view there and also email it to yourself to have.
Overall we love the the total experience at Danbury Mall, did you know they have a pet night too? Last year we actually put a diaper on our goat and took him to visit #SantaHQ. They have a few between November and December to choose from.
Danbury Fair, in partnership with HGTV, is hosting the North Pole’s most prominent resident at ‘Santa HQ.’ Families are encouraged to partake in an interactive, digital experience at Santa’s workshop.
Guests will be engaged during their visit with Santa due to Santa HQ’s incorporation of an augmented reality environment and captivating social media experience. Upon entering Santa HQ, kids will learn if they are on Santa’s naughty or nice list after being “scanned” at the Naughty or Nice O’Meter and spend time at an observatory to catch a glimpse of Santa’s remarkable world through special tablets. Visitors will also be able to take an “Elfie” (a photo opportunity as a dancing elf) and much more.
Early Bird photo packages are also available starting at $39.99. As an added bonus, guests can start to make reservations with the man of the hour by visiting www.santa-hq.com.
Visitors to Santa HQ will also be able to enjoy the holiday spirit of giving through HGTV’s Help Through Holiday Giving Drive. The program encourages visitors to donate new, unwrapped toys for local children in need with the goal of collecting over 1,000 toys per center. In 2016, HGTV’s Help Through Holiday Giving program collected over 66,000 toys benefiting local organizations like Forgotten Angel Tree, Salvation Army Angel Tree, Toys for Tots, and Spark of Love Stuff a Bus.
