Happy Fall! Let the fall festivities begin! Did I say Fall is my favorite season?! I can’t wait for the leaves to start changing. Chilly mornings and my cup of coffee go fabulous together.  Apple picking season is here – have you checked out our Apple Picking list for the Hudson Valley? Make it a family trip! There’s so much happening again for the family this week to enjoy! Check out what I’ve found! Make it a great week!! 🙂

 The Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall is at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park in Carmel for 4 Days.  Thursday 9/24-Sunday 9/27- more information can be found here.

Carnival – Kohls Shopping Center – Rt 59 Nanuet.  Th/F: 6pm – 11pm, Sat/Sun:  2pm-11pm. $20 pay one price all day!

 

Friday, September 25

Family Yoga Stretch & Mornings on the Farm

9:15-12:30pm: 103 S Greenbush Rd  Orangeburg  Join Miss Wendy from Little Shanti Yoga for Family Yoga Stretch Kids age 0-5 with caregiver followed by crafts at Circle on the Farm,. Stony Point Fall Festival.

10am – 5 pm: Kirkbride Hall 5 Patriots Hill Ln. Stony Point: Petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy house & slide,

Suffern Day 2015

11am:  Family Fun! Emergency services display, entertainment, music, food & fireworks for FREE

Colonial Day at The DeWint House Grounds.  

noon-5pm:  – Livingston St & Oak Tree Rd Tappan.  Step back into Time and visit Colonial America. Enjoy re-enactments, house tour, singers & dancers. Childrens activities include; apple pressing, butter making, farm animals, soap maker, sheep shearer and more!

Autumn Festival

presented by Dominican Sister of Blauvelt.  1030am-4:30:  496 Western Hwy Blauvelt. Games, Pony rides, Music & dancing, bounce house, raffles and more!

“Kick” Cancer Fundraiser – Jason Krause Scholarship

2pm-7pm: Kennelly’s Grille House, Congers, NY.  The event will be even bigger this year and is sure to be a fun-filled, family-friendly day to remember our friend while raising money for two great causes. Sports Celebrity Appearances,Outragehiss Pets, Magician & more! $40 adults $10 kids, 5 and under are FREE

Saturday, September 26 & Sunday, September 27

Annual Fall Flea Market

9am-3pm:  Palisades Community Center 675 Oak Tree Rd Palisades, NY

 

Sunday, September 27

Apple Fest & Apple Pie Contest

10am – 5pm:  FREE admission.  Piedmonts Flywheel Park. Children rides, entertainment, food & drinks

Crusin for Kids

8am:  Bowline Park Haverstraw.  Classic Car Show and Family Fun Day,Vendors,Music…Featuring Courtney Greene & Schultz & the Cedar Blue Band.

 

Italian Festival

11am-6pm:  Congers Station Park – Burnside Ave.

 

12-1:30pm:  Brian Kelley former NY Giants linebacker will be signing autographs and posing for pictures for shoppers at New City Stop n Shop

Oktoberfest 2015 with Defiant Brewing Company

2pm-7pm:  6 East Dexter Plaza Pearl River. Come celebrate our Infamous Oktoberfest with a ton of great beer, food, and good times. Live Umpah music by Thomas Burnett & Friends

Saturday, September 26

Benefit Fundraiser – Country Western Night (LIVE)music

6pm-11pm:  Rockland Lake Firehouse.  $25 at door

 

Sunday, September 27

Walking Tour of Downtown Nyack

2pm:  $5 Meet at the foot of Main Street by the river.  Trace Nyack’s growth from a small river village to a major commercial and manufacturing center during the Gilded Age when Nyack was called the “Gem of the Hudson” See many of the same buildings that were present at the turn-of-the-century when Nyack was the center of Rockland.
