Hello! Fall is in the air! I’m loving the cooler mornings and nights, time to open the windows and turn off the AC.  This week is BOOMing with fun stuff for the family! The annual Italian Festival, Fall Festivals, Flea Markets just to name a few. I’ve found family fun for every day of the week! Parents – check out what Fall like events are for you! Enjoy! Thursday, September 17 – Sunday, September 20 – Tappan’s 6th Annual Italian Feast & Carnival

Friday, September 18

10am:  Fall Crafts at Lyndhurst

Hundreds of artists fill the grounds of the historic Tarrytown estate offering the first taste of fall shopping as well as activities for the entire family such as tours of the Lyndhurst mansion, live music, craft demonstrations and children’s activities.  635 S. Sunday, September 20

10am – 2pm.  Rock the Block.

Rockland Jewish Community Center450 W Nyack Rd, West Nyack FREE Community Block Party presented by JCC Rockland.   Featuring SO much! Inflatables, including large Slide, Bounce House COURSE | SPORTS | VENDORS | CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES | TRUCKS GALORE.  Stage featuring Zumba, Piloting, Kickboxing, Fencing and dancing.  Ropes course,basketball shot contest and a game of horse, Camp style and arts and crafts activities and SO much more

Touch  A Truck Event.

Rockland Jewish Community Center.  This event provides kids of all ages with the opportunity to explore a variety of food, tow, police, construction and army trucks…and MUCH more!

Children will also enjoy a trackless train ride, inflatable fire engine slide and popcorn! The Matty Roxx! Concert that will take place at 1:15 pm is not to be missed!  Only $3 per child. Register in advance to win a Ride-on Toy vehicle at www.jewishrockland.org/truck

 

12pm.  Nyack Family Bike Day.

Join in the celebration of cycling for families and kids in Nyack’s Memorial Park.   It’s a day for parents and kids to ride bikes, get some safety tips, and join an escorted bike ride through the Nyacks.  www.NyackFamilyBikeDay.com

1pm.  FREE outdoor concert and tour- Bossy Frog Band.

42nd Annual Fall Festival in Cornwall on Main Street.  FREE  Admission. 2 Stages of Live Entertainment,  enjoy the food, music, inflatables, vendors, pumpkin painting, a hay maze, petting zoo, pony rides, 120 vendors and much much more!

First Ever Hudson Valley Beer Week kicks off today and what better way to celebrate the week than to tap ALL 11 locally brewed special beers for the week in one night?!

 

 

Saturday, September 19

Hudson River Craft Beer Festival.

12pm – 5pm.  Riverfront Park  Red Flynn Dr, Beacon, NY

This four-hour premium event will showcase over 200 releases from some of America’s best craft breweries. Attendees will sample beers in an atmosphere filled with live music, delicious food available for purchase, and great vendors. 1pm:  14th Annual Pirates Day.

2pm:  Oktoberfest.  Defiant Brewing Co.

Sunday, September 20

Beginning at 9:30:  Art in the Park /Green Market/ Lobster Fest / Train Station Sunday in Piermont.

 

2pm – 6pm:  Flavors of Haverstraw Food Crawl.

56 W. Broad Street Haverstraw. The food crawl begins at 5 Senses Food Truck.   The group will meet in the parking lot of the Knights of Columbus. There are 10 restaurants participating and plates are $3-$10 There is plenty of parking in the municipal lot at the food truck and across Broad Street. From there, the group will walk with official food crawl tour guides or venture on their own if they choose.

6-9pm:  A Taste of Rockland
