Hello!!! I’ve got a awesome lineup for family fun this week AND check out my section for PARENTS NIGHT OUT! From street fairs to concerts and festivals, classic car night and so much more! There is something for everyone! Enjoy some entertainment, food and create some happy memories! Im working hard to bring you all the weekly happenings around Rockland County to take advantage of summer and all that there is to enjoy!  Make it a GREAT week!! 😉

Saturday, July 11 – 7th Annual Bastille Day Celebration  in Piermont

12pm: 478 Piermont Ave.  Brought to you by Piermont Chamber of Commerce

As part of the village’s annual Bastille Day celebration, French flags will flap along Piermont Avenue, and restaurants and shops will place tables outdoors. The celebration fills the street with live music and the pleasant aromas of traditional French, Italian, Continental, Mexican, Irish and American cuisine served by local restaurants.

Saturday, July 11 – Haverstraw Music & Arts Festival

12pm:  Emeline Park Haverstraw

For a 2nd year of free music and art set against the backdrop of the Hudson River in the Village of Haverstraw at Emeline Park.  The river-centric festival will host a sculpture event where professional artists use stone, clay and brick to create works of art throughout the day.

4 bands are set to perform. JAMIE BLOCK (Folk), Pablo Mayor Folklore Urbano (Modern Colombian groove), Nyack’s, MR. BREAKDOWN (Rhythm & funk) and JAWBONE (Americana). Nyack’s Mario the Magician will entertain children, along with other children’s activities such as face painting. 16 craft vendors will feature their one of a kind items and food trucks will keep the attendees satiated.

 

Saturday, July 11 – Mario magician will be performing a show at 1:45pm

11am:  Barnes & Noble Palisades Location

 

Saturday, July 11 – The Tappan Zee Bridge Outreach Lego Project (FREE)

3pm:  JUST FOR KIDS:   To help inspire the next generation of bridge builders, Aaron Tang of ‘Bricks 4 Kids’ will use Legos to share the power of constructive and creative thinking with local children.

A committee from the NY Bridge Project will be at the Haverstraw RiverArts & Music Festival to educate people about the new Tappan Zee Bridge.

 

Sunday, July 12 – Nyack Famous Street Fair

10am –  This is a GREAT family fun day! (FREE)  There will be 300 booths  of arts, crafts, photography, retail & commercial vendors, collectibles, festival food & music will be featured at the fair. There will also be a large kid’s area located in the Main St. parking lot.

 

Sunday, July 12 – Weekend Storytime

11am:  Barnes & Noble Palisades location

 

Monday, July 13 – Munchkin Monday – (FREE) Concert

11am:  Join us in the East Court for a performance by the children’s performer The Little Rockers Band.

 

Monday, July 13 – Passport to Imagination @ Michaels

10am – 12pm:  $5 for all supplies included for Crayon and watercolor painting

 

Tuesday, July 14 – $1 Summer Movie Express – This week’s feature:  Paddington

Parents Night OUT:

Thursday, July 9 – Summer Fit Series

5pm-6pm: Shops at Nanuet.  Each Thursday night prior to our concerts, join 24 Hour Fitness for Zumba or lululemon for yoga on Fashion Drive.

Thursday, July 9 – Summer Concert Series.  This week:  “Better than Bowling”

Join in the plaza after Summer Fit Series from 6:30PM- 8:30PM for our Summer Concert Series. Bring your own chair and enjoy local and live entertainments, giveaways, prizes and much more!

Thursday, July 9 – Classic Car Night in Nyack

5pm Classic Car Night takes over Main Street as 250 hot rods and classics cruise in for a night of family fun. Music, hundreds of fabulous cars, thousands of visitors and even more smiles make this a much-anticipated annual summer outing. Bring your friends and auto enthusiasts for this hot summer night!

Thursday, July 9 – Sip and Paint Party

7pm.   Joe’s Crab Shack – Palisades Center.  Tickets are $45 (order online w a promo code and receive $10 off) artonthevinellc.com .  Grab some friends after work, order up some food and favorite drink and have some painting fun!

Friday, July 10 – Summer Concert Series This week:  The James Dean Orchestra

7:45pm:  Veterans Memorial Park.  Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy some music under the stars.

Saturday, July 11 – Creative Circle w/ Rachael – Dream Catcher

7:30 pm.  Circle on the Farm 103 S. Greenbush Rd Orangeburg.

Enjoy a fun, casual, creative night out.  Create your own unique and beautiful dream catcher to catch all the good stuff and leave out the bad.  All materials included, step by step instruction provided, no experience necessary.  Coffee, tea, or a drink on us. Saturday, July 11 – Pleasantville Music Festival

12pm – 9pm:  Parkway Field 48 Marble Avenue, at Hopper Street Pleasantville, NY 10570

Bring your chairs, blankets and tents and enjoy live rock music with Food and drink, a beer & wine garden for the adults, fun activities to keep the kids happy, and a composting and recycling program to keep the Earth happy.
