Santa Claus has arrived! Come meet the man in the red suit and get your photo taken! See below for locations and hours:
- The Shops at Nanuet: Daily until December 24 from noon – 6pm.
- Palisades Mall: Mon-Thur 10am-8pm, Fri/Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 11am-7pm until December 24
- Haverstraw: Every Saturday & Sunday until Christmas from noon-5pm. 1 Railroad Sq. Haverstraw
- Looking for a Christmas tree? Check out Annual Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale now until December 20 at Stony Point Fire Dept 25 N Liberty Dr, Stony Point. Sales go to needy families in town.
- Tis the Season to Give! Orangetown PBA Annual Toy Drive – Now thru December 15; drop off new, unwrapped toy to the police department.

6:30P Tree Lighting & Winter Festival
Enjoy live performances, face painting, costumed characters and hot cocoa while the christmas tree is lit! The Shops at Nanuet.
Saturday, December 5
8:30am: Breakfast with Santa

Come decorate your own chocolate Christmas tree and enjoy story time with Santa! Story times are 11:00am and 3:30pm. Decorate a chocolate Christmas tree anytime from 10am to 5pm, Reservations are not needed. The cost is $10.00 Lucas Candies 6 Main ST. Haverstraw

Visit the Historical Society of Rockland County for an unforgettable experience of wonder and fun! We’re opening our 1832 Jacob Blauvelt House to welcome children of all ages to celebrate Saint Nicholas as we’ve done since 1961. This traditional program is a highlight of the holiday season and many adults who have enjoyed this event in the past, as children, now bring their own families. Join in the traditional Dutch celebration, See shoes magically filled with goodies , Hear wondrous and joyful stories, meet Saint Nicholas and his beautiful horse

Listen to some stories and guitar music. Portion of proceeds go to Nursery School of the Nyacks. Nanuet location.

4pm: Holiday Lights of Nyack
Holiday Lights is the official kick-off to the Nyack Holiday Season. It’s a festive theatrical experience, with free hot cocoa and cider, music, and Santa in a big red fire truck. It’s our pleasure to produce this event for the enjoyment of Nyack’s children, young and old. Don’t miss this much-loved festive, holiday event for our Rockland and Nyack families and friends.
5pm: RCDS Illuminations
An incredible night time display of lights, games, and family fun transforming a portion of the school campus into a storybook wonderland and winter illumination. Children of all ages, along with their parents, may enjoy a stroll through our literary forest of your favorite childhood characters as they take in the sights and sounds of the season. Play illuminated, oversized, childhood games, make your own s’mores or simply sip hot cocoa and enjoy holiday music by the fire. For Tickets:

6pm: Suffern Christmas Parade
Get ready for the village’s annual Christmas Parade featuring floats, marchers, community groups, bands and of course the one and only Santa Claus!!! Prior to the parade the movie the “Polar Express” will be shown at the historic Lafayette Theater for free and after the parade visits with Santa Claus will take place at the Suffern Community Center.

Dockland County Day School: 34 Kings Hwy Congers. The Annual Winter Shopping Village serves as a one-stop-shopping venue for all of your holiday needs. The evening will culminate in an Illumination Playground – an incredible night time display of lights, games, and family fun transforming a portion of the School campus into a winter wonderland. The Dennis P. McHugh Piermont Public Library presents its annual Gift of Art Show with the theme “Piermont and the Hudson: A Special Gift of Art Show Inspired by the Hudson River School.” A group show of small works by local artists, the Gift of Art Show provides a wonderful opportunity to purchase very special holiday gifts. Art will be available in a variety of styles and media from oils to watercolors to photographs and collages. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Library’s operation and programming budgets.
