Yes you are reading the dates right September is almost gone!  Which means our Westchester Mom’s Night Out is just around the corner!  Start getting your sitters lined up I heard about some of the gift bag offerings and you DON’T want to miss this one!  In the meantime get out there and enjoy some great events!

Friday September 18th

Mid Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Link, Lift, Launch – The newest exhibit at the Children’s Museum is open and ready for fun! This Showcase will offer some background about the exhibit and give participants exciting new building challenges to try and ways to guide your child in the process. Free with museum admission.

Saturday September 19th

East Fishkill Recreation Park, East Fishkill

Community Day – Starting with a parade on Route 82 from Trinka Lane to the Recreation Park sat 11:30am then Community Activities, great food and more at the Recreation Park until 4:30pm

Van Wyck Homestead, Fishkill

Revolutionary War Weekend – Step back in time and visit a Revolutionary War Encampment, hear 18th Century Music, Musket Drills for children, Colonial Games and Artisans: Blacksmith, Cooking, Spinners and Tours of the Van Wyck Homestead Museum and 1780 Kitchen Garden

Patterson Recreation Center, Patterson

Family Fun Day – Go enjoy a day with the kids, bounce houses and live demonstrations of all the fun things the Recreation Center and surrounding businesses have to offer!

Sycamore Park, Mahopac

Health & Fitness Fair – Get outside while you still can and find your plan to get fit!

Mid Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Museum Late Night – Museum is open until 8pm and admission from 5 to 8pm is FREE!

Stormville Flea Market, Stormville

Giant Yard Sale – The flea market grounds are turned into a giant Yard Sale.  The only rule is that you must be a private person selling.  Get your garage sale deals all in one place!

Sunday September 20th

Van Wyck Homestead, Fishkill

ABC 123! – This month the focus is on counting skills. What do cotton ball catapults, pretend lava, and mystery eggs have in common? They are crazy games that make simple counting and addition fun! This program is free with museum admission.

Wednesday September 23rd

Mid Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Making Masterpieces Chihuly Sculptures – Using Chihuly as inspiration, children will create their own colorful sculptures using kid-friendly plastic and beautiful papers.
