Thursday August 25th

Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Fertile Minds Garden Time:Our newest learning space is outdoors!  Join us as we head into the new Children’s Garden @ MHCM to learn about growing food and to practice gardening techniques.  This program is free with museum admission.

Dutchess County Fair Ground, Rhinebeck

Dutchess County Fair: The second largest county fair in New York State is the showplace for agriculture in Dutchess County. Over 162 acres of finely manicured gardens and grass create the beautiful setting for thousands of farm animals, agricultural exhibits and horticultural.

Friday August 26th

Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Starlab: Journey into the museum’s StarLab Planetarium to learn basic astronomy concepts. After the program you’ll be able to find real constellations in the night sky!  $3 per person, plus museum admission.

Veteran’s Park, Wappingers Falls

Movie Night: “Hotel Transylvania”

Brewster Library, Brewster

Lego Club: New at the Brewster Public Library! Drop by the library on the fourth Saturday of each month and build a Lego creation based on a chosen theme. We will display it in the Children’s Room for all to see! No registration necessary. For all ages.

Sunday August 28th

Tuesday August 30th

Afternoon ABC 123 Fun in the Garden: We’re turning our new garden into a math classroom for the day!  We’ll be counting, sorting and measuring plants and seeds, and you’ll get to do some planting of your own.  This program is free with museum admission.

Wednesday August 31st

Storytime: Join Ed, our special guest volunteer, as he makes some of his favorite stories come alive!  This program is best for children ages 3-5.  Free with museum admission.

Making Masterpieces: Jackson Pollack was famous for painting by dripping paint onto giant canvases to make art.  Children will learn about Pollock and then create their very own canvas drip painting.  Museum admission plus $5.00 materials fee per child.
