Hi Apple Moms, we are in the last week of July already! Summer is flying as usual, but camp is almost over so I have a feeling August might DRAG! Either way here are your best bets to check out this week!

Wednesday July 22nd

Village of Brewster

Fireman’s Parade @ 7pm

College Hill Park, Poughkeepsie

Concert – Hear music by a 160-member youth choir and band from Memphis, Tennessee. Free hot dogs and drinks. 6:30pm

Staatsburgh State Historic Site – Staatsburgh

Concert – The James Osborn Band 7pm

Thursday July 23rd

Schlathaus Park, Wappingers Falls

Concert – The Greyhounds, Blending Rockabilly and Rhythm & Blues with the twang of Classic Country and the drive of 60s Beat and Surf instrumentals, these guys are roaring on all cylinders. The result is Rock n’ Roll in its purest form: dynamic, joyful, powerful and honest.

Friday July 24th – Sunday July 26th

Veteran’s Memorial Park, Carmel

Putnam County 4H Fair – Great food, games and entertainment!  Check out local livestock, and see projects done by local 4H participants!

Friday July 24th

Kent Public Library, Kent

Family Movie – Brave 1pm

East Fishkill Recreation Park, East Fishkill

Concert – Harvest Five-piece band singing a wide variety of music including Motown, Top 40, Disco & Broadway hits. 7pm

Saturday July 25th

Fishkill Farms, Fishkill

Hand-Picked: A Mid-Summer Harvest Festival – Join us in the heart of summer to enjoy folk-influenced original material from the Sailing Stone Band that’s harmony-driven with a cool acoustic sound. They’ll also be performing your favorite Funk, Pop, Rock and Blues covers. We’ll be running tractor wagon rides, firing up the grill, kid’s crafts in the barn and offering all kinds of U-Pick fruit and vegetables

HRRA Community Boathouse, Poughkeepsie

Dragon Boat Race – Grab your chance to be a part of a new, exciting leisure activity, the Dragon Boat Race on the Hudson River this summer!  At the same time, enjoy a day-long Asian Cultural Festival on the waterfront, with kids’ games, music, food and drink, fun and dancing.

Lakeside Park, Pawling

Concert – “Shorty King’s Rhythm Review” Making their first appearance at Music By The Lake, Shorty and the boys will have you jumpin’, jivin’, and wailin’ to the music of the 40’s, 50’s, and early 60’s with the sounds of Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, early Ray Charles, Johnny Guitar Watson, the Coasters, and more!

Monday July 27th

Kent Public Library, Kent

Mini Manicures Ages 4+. Have your nails painted and decorated at the Kent Public Library. After you register, we will contact you to schedule a 15 minute appointment. 3pm
