Happy Hump Day Apple Moms!  We are halfway through my 5 year olds only week of camp this summer!  She is slowly getting warmed up to the kids during the day, while my 2 year old and I are figuring out how to hang out alone together again!  Sadly once we get it all figured out the week will be over!  However, if you and your kids are staring at each other as well here are some local events to get out there and check out!

Wednesday July 13th

Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Storytime: Join Ed, our special guest volunteer, as he makes some of his favorite stories come alive!  This program is best for children ages 3-5.  Free with museum admission.

Concert in the Park: Hurley Mtn. Highway four piece acoustic electric rock band.  You are sure to have a great time and be caught smiling, dancing and singing!

Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Family Free Night: MHCM is open late and admission is FREE from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the THIRD Saturday of every month. Please note:  this event is intended for families with children ages 0-6.  Parent supervision is required at all times.  Family Free Nights are sponsored by M&T Bank. Come play!!

Wallbridge Farm, Millbrook

       Farm Festival: Hay rides, face painting, games, music, free raffle, mechanical bull, vendors, food demonstrations.

Beekman Rec Center, Beekman

Community Day: Tons of vendors adoptable animals and family fun.  Followed by fireworks at dusk!

Clermont Historic Site, Germantown

Children’s Day: Recommended for children 6-12. Get a sneak peak of Clermont’s beloved Junior History Club activities at this FREE preview! You’ll share a cooking experience with your child as you learn how to recreate 18th century recipes in your own kitchen.

Gazebo Storytime: Miss Melanie will be holding Storytime in the Gazebo to enjoy the beautiful summer weather! We will read books and make our own music, sing, play games, and chase bubbles! Bring your hats and some sunscreen! All ages are welcome! Registration is NOT required!

Meet the Animals: The Nature of Things an environmental educational outreach program funded by a grant from the NY State Library’s Family Literacy Library Services program. Registration is required. Children  CANNOT attend program alone, Parent(s) must accompany child and register themselves. This is a chance to see and handle mammals and birds up close

Tuesday July 19th

Meet the Llamas: Meet real llamas and learn all sorts of interesting facts about them. Everyone will have a chance to ask questions plus pet them, groom them, feed them and take photographs with them!
