Hello Summer weather! Who else is outside as much as possible now? My only complaint is that my 5 year old hates going to bed when the sun is still out! We are ticking off the days til the end of school. In the meantime we are enjoying our weekends and hope to see some of you out an about too!
Thursday June 9th
Tivoli Bay, Tivoli
Canoe Trip: Educational canoe paddle through Tivoli Bays with the New York State DEC. Space is limited and PRE-REGISTRATION is required! Ages 6 and up. We’ll be meeting at 4:00pm at the North Bay launch site for a 2-hour canoe paddle in the Tivoli Bays. For directions and more detailed information, please call or e-mail the library. Free and open to all.
Friday June 10th
Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie
Museum Showcase: Imagination Playground This guided play experience will give parents and kids new ideas on what to build with our Imagination Playground blocks. If you make something extra special, we may even enter it into Imagination Playground’s Build-a-thon competition! This program is included with museum admission.

Build & Grow: Captain America – Marvel’s Avengers have arrived at Lowe’s this summer! Bring your child to Lowe’s to build their very own Captain America

Family Fest & Pet Expo: Come out to the Dutch on June 11th to see all sorts of vendors and pet adoptions agencies thanks to our friends at Full Circle Veterinary Hospital.
Sunday June 12th
Fishkill Farms, Fishkill
Strawberry Jammin Festival: Local reggae favorites, The Big Takeover will be jammin’ out on the lawn from 12:30-4:00pm. Both of our strawberry patches filled with delicious organically grown strawberries will be open for picking all day long. We’ll have hayrides running for the duration of the event making stops at the nature trail where we’ll have a puzzle and scavenger hunt for kids. Kids crafts will take place in the barn and we’ll have our cornhole games out on the lawn.
