Putnam County EventsDutchess County EventsI hope everyone had a fantastic Mother’s Day weekend! Our Mommy and Me Paint Dates were fantastic and I love my picture that my 5 year old and I did! Make sure to check in with us for Father’s day, for another great event at Jack’s Clubhouse!  This weekend looks fantastic so get out and enjoy spring!

Friday May 13th

Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Museum Showcase Long Long Ago –  What is that giant skeleton that greets you as you come up the museum’s staircase?  It’s the Hyde Park Mastodon!  We’ll learn about the Mastodon and how the remains of this giant creature were unearthed nearby.  Then we’ll do a hands-on paleontology activity.

Saturday May 14th

Village of Beacon, Beacon

Second Saturday –  A city-wide celebration of the arts held on the second Saturday of every month.  Special events, art gallery openings, artist receptions and culinary tastings. Many galleries and shops stay open until 9pm

Village of Wappingers Falls, Wappingers Falls

Tag Sale – Village-wide Tag Sale alongside the Wappingers Central School Districts’ annual Festival of the Arts! Zion Episcopal Church, 12 Satterlee Place in the heart of the Village, is hosting a trunk sale and will also sell hot dogs and hamburgers and cookies for the viewers of the arts and buyers of the treasures offered.

Madden Outdoor Center, Carmel

Summer Camp Open House –  Hear about what Madden has to offer for summer camps, and learn some local history as well! Free event to raise awareness about many aspects of child and public safety. Highlights include Operation “Safe Child” ID cards, Fire Safety House, car seat and backpack checks, bike helmet fittings, fire engine tours, face painting, interactive games and activities, demonstrations, safety information, raffle prizes and much more!

Putnam County TOPS Center, Carmel

Child Safety Day –  Free event to raise awareness about many aspects of child and public safety. Highlights include Operation “Safe Child” ID cards, Fire Safety House, car seat and backpack checks, bike helmet fittings, fire engine tours, face painting, interactive games and activities, demonstrations, safety information, raffle prizes and much more!

Brewster High School Tennis Courts, Brewster

Rally for the Cause- Cystic Fibrosis  2:00pm-5:00pm at the Brewster High (Rain date will be Saturday, May 21, 2016) There will be a silent auction and free tennis lessons. There will be a carnival for the young children and a mix and match play event for the older players.  There will be food, fun and a chance for fitness.

Help the Girls’ Varsity Tennis teams from Brewster and Carmel High School raise $1,000.00 to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis!

Sunday May 15th

Stony Kill Farm, Wappingers Falls

Open Barn –  Visit a working farm with live animals. Formerly a part of the Verplanck family estate, which also included the Mount Gulian Historic Site in Beacon, a Colonial homestead also open to visitors.
