Happy Thanksgiving all! I cannot believe we already to the end of November. This week also marks another HUGE milestone in our house, since my husband and I will be celebrating 10 years of marriage on Wednesday! I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving and if you are looking for some good family fun afterwards here are some places to check out:

Staatsburgh State Historic House, Staatsburgh
A Gilded Age Christmas – Visit the lavishly decorated mansion to experience Christmas, Gilded Age style! The mansion is sumptuously decorated for the holidays and the shop is full of great gifts for your family and friends.
Saturday November 28th
Brewster Elks, Brewster
Craft Fair – Shop for holiday gifts or decorations. See what local talent has for sale. Food and drinks will be available to purchase as well!
The Center for Performing Arts, Rhinebeck
Magic Show – A one-man illusion show featuring unique theatrical and visual magic, audience participation and lots of laughs! Sunglasses appear in a flash of fire, a table mysteriously floats around the stage and into the audience, and ordinary Hula Hoops perform extraordinary magic!
Town of Pine Plains
Town Decorating & Tree Lighting – Decorations are collected for the pine trees in town. Hot chocolate and holiday music accompany young and old as they decorate the hamlet’s trees. 3pm. Parade up Main St. follows; Smith Elementary School to firehouse & back to center Town Park. Bring the kids to meet Santa & Mrs. Claus and their reindeer.
Poughkeepsie Plaza, Poughkeepsie
Santa’s Arrival – Santa arrives on a firetruck at the Poughkeepsie Plaza courtesy of the Arlington Fire District and the Croft Corners Fire Company at 10am! Visit Santa in his Santa Workshop located between Marshalls & JoAnn Fabrics! Enjoy some coloring, crafts, face painting and a Lego activity with Brick Kids from 10am-12pm!
Sunday November 29th
Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie
Craft Fair – The Craft Fair is in its 44th year in 2015. Invited participants include some of the favorite artists from previous craft fairs, along with new artists. The juried fair features works from artists who hand-craft their own items. Some of the pieces are considered fine art. Additionally, there are many specialty food vendors. It is a perfect way to spend the holiday weekend.
