Putnam & Dutchess Weekly Events 11/18 – 11/23
I hope everyone is looking forward to the holiday break next week as much as we are. It’s been a pretty hectic month and it’s only gonna go faster in December! My kids already have their lists ready for Santa and he is waiting for them at most malls! Also if you haven’t yet make sure to try and stop by with your kiddos at the JV Mall at 10:30am on Wednesday mornings. This week we will be doing a special Thanksgiving themed craft and story!
Saturday November 19th
Rhinebeck Village
Tree Lighting & Parade: The Parade of Lights steps off at Mulberry and E Market at 5pm where floats, fire trucks and community groups lead the way as Santa makes his grand entrance by horse drawn wagon to the Rhinebeck Bank Plaza.
Carmel High School, Carmel
Girl Scouts Craft: Pick up handmade treasurers created by local Girl Scouts. Play games, enjoy some homemade baked goods, and win some great raffle prizes!
Patterson Recreation Center, Patterson
Holiday Bazaar: Head over to shop local businesses!
Brewster Library, Brewster
Lego Saturday: Come to the library on the third Saturday of the month and explore your creativity with Legos! Choose one of our construction challenges or spend the time creating your own masterpiece. We’ll provide the Legos and you provide the imagination! Display your creation in the library for all to see! For all ages. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
Sunday November 20th
McCann Ice Arena, Poughkeepsie
Try Ice Hockey Free Day: The New York Rangers are once again teaming up with USA Hockey to encourage kids to “Go Skate!” as they host “Try Hockey for Free” lessons throughout the Tri-State area. Must Pre-register HERE Each Session will include:
- Introductory on-ice lesson with professional instruction
- Free rental skates and loaner equipment
- Appearance and autographs with a New York Rangers alum
- Exclusive New York Rangers hockey stick for each participant
- This program is designed for children ages 4-10 years old with little or no skating or hockey experience.
