Phew we survived Spring Break! A HUGE thank you to all of our families that came out and made our Easter Egg hunt a huge success! We just announced a Mommy and Me Paint Date at Jack’s clubhouse as well! Tickets are going fast so make sure to sign up soon!  In the meantime here are some great events coming up this week!

Thursday March 31st

Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, Poughkeepsie

Family Learning Night ABC Party –Family Learning Nights are special evening events for parents and preschool-aged children.  Children will participate in fun hands-on activities while parents collect cards with tips and hints to support learning at home.  Includes a light meal, fun activities, and take-home activity cards.Pre-registration required.  Email: PJacobsen@mhcm.org to sign up.  Cost:  $6 for MHCM Members; $8 non-members.

Friday April 1st

HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY

Mahopac Library, Mahopac

New Mom’s Group – Mom’s with children one and under.  Run by two public health nurses go to meet people or ask any questions.  Runs from 2 to 4pm

Saturday April 2nd

Madava & Soukup Farms, Dover

      Maple Weekend -Visit either of these fantastic maple syrup farms to sample their maple goodies and learn more about the maple syrup process!

Home Depot, Brewster, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie

      Kid’s Workshop – Build a butterfly house to welcome some fluttering insect friends after a long winter. After the butterfly house is built, your child can decorate their project with paint.

The Center for Performing Arts, Rhinebeck

Barefoot Dance Company – This unique company of young dancers will perform several innovative modern dance pieces in a delightful concert.  Bring your kids as the event is family friendly. Audience members of all ages will find the variety of work exciting and inspiring.

Sunday April 3rd

Stony Kill Farm, Wappingers Falls

Open Barn – Enjoy a guided tour of a working farm with live animals from 11am to 1pm. Formely a part of the Verplanck family estate, which also included the Mount Gulian Historic Site in Beacon, a Colonial homestead also open to visitors. Trails and grounds are open to all from sunrise to sunset for hiking and nature enjoyment.
