Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone took advantage of the beautiful weather last week! We have been trying to get out as much as possible, before the holiday rush! If you are looking to enjoy your last couple weekends of pre-holiday freedom here are some of your best bets!

Friday November 13th

My Grandparent & Me – Grandparents are free when they bring their Grandkid to play!

Create with Rigamajig – Tucked in the corner of the new exhibition, Link, Lift, Launch, are building materials designed for children called Rigamajig.  Museum educators will help guide adults and children and turn the wooden boards, nuts and bolts into imaginative creations.  This program is offered free with museum admission.

Saturday November 14th

Hendrick Hudson Masonic Lodge, Red Hook

India Children’s Fest – Inspired by the spirit of Diwali, the autumnal Hindu festival of lights, the night will be a hands-on celebration of Indian culture featuring food, crafts, dancing, and more! Kids can sample sweet treats like deep-fried jalebi, receive henna tattoos, learn traditional Indian dances, and make their own clay diya lamps to illuminate the night—all while learning about Indian culture and the celebration of Diwali.

Lowes: Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Danbury

Build & Grow – Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can build an awesome #48 car with a pull back motor!

Poughkeepsie Plaza, Poughkeepsie

Santa’s Arrival – Santa arrives on a firetruck at the Poughkeepsie Plaza courtesy of the Arlington Fire District and the Croft Corners Fire Company at 10am! Visit Santa in his Santa Workshop located between Marshalls & JoAnn Fabrics! Enjoy some coloring, crafts, face painting and a Lego activity with Brick Kids from 10am-12pm!
