Putnam County Weekend Events 10/25 & 10/26

It’s Thursday which means the weekend before Halloween is finally here!  It’s been a LONG month in our house and I am happy to be so close to Trick or Treating!  Our house is pretty secluded but we have a great friends in the neighborhood down the street and we have a blast each year run up and down the road with the kids!  So if you are not last minute costume shopping, here are your best events to check out this weekend!

Saturday October 25th

Tilly Foster Farm Brewster, NY
Pumpkin Palooza 12pm to 5pm

I know I have mentioned it before, but my family loves Tilly Foster farm.  This is the first year for this event, so go check it out.  There will be hayrides, pumpkin picking and painting, along with pie tasting and other local foods.  Go checkout the new Alpacas and show some love to the farm so they keep holding events there!

Village of Brewster
Ragamuffin Parade & Trunk or Treat 10am to 1pm Registration begins @9:30am

Parade led by Brewster Fire Dept. from Markel Park to First Baptist Church Brewster for Trunk or Treat.  Mad Science at 11am at FBC.  Tons of decorated, candy-filled trunks for the  kids to enjoy. Prizes awarded for best costumes for children.

Sunday October 26th

Hamlet of Carmel
Halloween Parade and Party

The HCCA Halloween Parade is for children from pre-school up to fourth grade.  Children will be assembled in the parking area behind the Old County Courthouse in the hamlet of Carmel at 1:00 PM and the parade will start at 1:30 PM.  They will march out of the new courthouse driveway, past a reviewing stand on the courthouse steps and proceed north up Gleneida Avenue to the  Carmel Firehouse where all of the children will receive door prizes and refreshments.   Three costume prize categories will be pre-school, K & first grade, second to fourth grade.   The children will also be treated face painting by the 4H Face Painting Club.
