Paraco-Kosco Announce Fundraiser to Benefit Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley
A portion of the proceeds from propane and oil deliveries made by specially branded trucks will be donated
Rhinebeck/Saugerties, NY (September 28, 2015) – Paraco-Kosco, a leading marketer of home fuel solutions in New York State, is proud to announce a fund-raising campaign to benefit Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley. For the next two years, two of their delivery vehicles will be branded with the Make-A-Wish logo to help promote the foundation while a portion of the proceeds from deliveries made by these vehicles will go to help grant wishes to children in the Hudson Valley.
Each delivery ticket will include information on how the customer can provide additional support to the charity. Drivers will wear a special Paraco-Kosco Make-A-Wish® shirt when making deliveries from these specialized trucks.
“We are currently working on over 150 wishes for children in the Hudson Valley. The average cost of a wish ranges from $7,500 to $10,000, so the great support from Paraco-Kosco will be a great help in making wishes come true!” said Thomas J. Conklin, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. “You can join Paraco-Kosco in making wishes come true by going to www.hudson.wish.org and making a donation or by donating your frequent flier miles.”
John Armentano, Vice President of Corporate Development and Acquisitions for Paraco Gas, joined Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley’s Board of Directors in 2011 and has since strengthened the partnership between Paraco Gas and Make-A-Wish.
“We are so fortunate to be in a position to partner with Make A Wish Hudson Valley said Armentano. The commitment from MAW of Hudson Valley to the community, the children and their families during difficult times reflects the same passion Paraco has had for the last 45 years towards my Dads vision of giving back. To see the work the MAW staff and Board of Directors has been doing for the affected families over the past several years of our involvement has truly energized me and our company.”
The campaign was launched at a recent community event where Paraco-Kosco gave away t-shirts in exchange for a donation that raised approximately $2,000.
