GIVEWAWAY: Moms Night Out Paint Nite Putnam County
So after checking out Paint Nite in Dutchess with Karen I got the opportunity to create another masterpiece with one of my Mom friends at JP Cunningham’s in Mahopac. Our mission this time was to create Flight of the Fireflies! First off let me say I am NOT an artist so sitting in front of a blank canvas with two brushes and four colors, was still a little nerve wrecking even though I knew what to expect!
However, our host Christine Morano made us all feel very comfortable. We had so much fun working on our paintings. I have to say one of the best things about these events are the people that you meet there. I was sitting next to a very funny mother and daughter in law and my friend who was sitting across from me got to chat with another set of friends. There was also a group of women from a book club attending, some of their paintings were truly AMAZING! It took us a little over 2 hours but we also took at least a 15 minute break in the middle to let our backgrounds dry.
My painting came out better than I was expecting, even my husband was surprised by inner artist! When I was at my friend’s house the other day she already had hers hanging up! Altogether I definitely recommend checking out a local paint nite near you! In fact I am pretty sure my friend has our next one picked out!
