MythBusters Exhibit at the Liberty Science Center #MTMyth

Share

My kids and I were invited to a special event at the Liberty Science Center with Momtrends to check out two exhibits and share with our readers.  Well we give them 2 Thumbs Up! Why?  Read on..

Can you poke a shark’s eye out while being attacked? Can you dodge a bullet? Do you get more wet running or walking through the rain? All these questions and more have been tested by the MythBusters on their hit TV show.  Now through September 4th, you can check out and even TRY OUT many myths, can you bust them?

Testing Blocks vs Wind. What will stay put?
How long can you hang off a cliff?
Can you dodge a bullet?

The kids loved the MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition between pulling table clothes, hanging off a cliff, running in the rain and more.   We all felt like scientists testing and trying out some of these myths and felt like I was in school again thinking of the scientific method.    Within the workshop there are many real hands-on experiments and also a Live Demonstration Stage, can you dodge a bullet?

This is all happening now at the Liberty Science Center with the Combination Pass you purchase at admission.

Next to check out, ILLUSION: Nothing Is As It Seems which is currently at Liberty Science Center now through August 27th.   The kids loved checking out the exhibit and see the different installations.  They though they were seeing one thing but from another angle it wasn’t quite the same.  The Significant Birds was a favorite, listening to sounds to try and hear a voice.  We didn’t get to hear the voice and sentences, but maybe your ears will help you.

These two exhibits are thought provoking, lots of spontaneous teaching possibilities throughout, ask your kids questions and answer theirs.

SKYSCRAPER: Walking 18ft above ground

Don’t forget the other exhibits, real animals and demonstrations.  We always plan about 3-4 hours for our visit, and that still doesn’t cover the whole center.  Check out their hours and prices and special events before your next visit.

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post.  All opinions are my own and as always honest.
