Moms Night with Paint Nite Dutchess County

Last Sunday, Jenn (Putnam/Dutchess) and I went to our first Paint Nite.  Can I just say we did not stop laughing. We attended Snowy Bird at the i84 Diner in Fishkill, a terrific location with huge room, separate entrance, bathrooms and wait service.  Marie Goodwin was our instructor, a true sweetheart.

I’ll admit sitting down with 4 paint brushes and only 3 paint colors: black, red and white I was skeptical about what I was getting myself into. Marie explained which brushes to use, how to mix colors and when.  All of a sudden we were painting! A little white and black to make the background and continued to a BIRD by the end of the night (which was a little under 2 hours).

I am impressed with my piece, I love my Snowy Bird.  I for sure cannot wait to do another Paint Nite soon.

There were a few couples painting nearby, a great date night activity for sure, as well as a Moms Night/Girls night out.  Paint Nite offers fundraising and private party opportunities as well.
