Over Winter Break we spent an early evening at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester.  We love it there, the kids play and I did some blog planning, organizing for 2018 and then sat and watched them in the build section, make friends to play with while there and grab a snack.   Easily 3 hours spent (and we could have spent more).  Do you have LEGO fans at home?  How cool would it be if they joined the Creative Crew.   Check it out!

Calling All LEGO® Fans: LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester Launches Search for 2018 Creative Crew

New Years sign created by LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester’s 2017 Creative Crew

Yonkers, N.Y. (January 8, 2018) – Is your child the biggest LEGO® fan you know? LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester is seeking twelve children ages 5 to 10 to be part of their 2018 Creative Crew. The Creative Crew will assist LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester’s Master Model Builder Anthony Maddaloni with exciting activities and important tasks at the Yonkers-based attraction including exclusive building sessions, attending special events and testing new rides and games. Each member of the Creative Crew will also win a Family 4-Pack of Annual Passes to enjoy one year of endless LEGO fun.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester wants to know what makes the entrant the biggest LEGO fan and why he or she should be part of the Creative Crew. Applications are currently being accepted online through Friday, March 2nd via LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester’s website at http://bit.ly/2Arjunl. All submissions must include video or photos of a LEGO model the child has constructed, as well as completion of written questions.

Submissions will be evaluated on the creativity and enthusiasm exhibited in the child’s response, and imagination conveyed in the child’s LEGO model.

“I’ve been having fun with LEGO bricks for almost as long as I can remember,” Maddaloni said. “One of the highlights of my role as Master Model Builder is the opportunity to share my love for creating with kids and LEGO fans of all ages. I’m really excited to see what amazing creations come from our search and look forward to mentoring our new crew as they explore their imagination in the year ahead.”

The 2018 Creative Crew will be announced on Friday, March 9th on LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester’s Facebook page. A special introduction event will follow when the incoming Creative Crew will meet with Maddaloni and learn about their new role.
