Imagination Movers Tour

My kids are Disney Jr. fans, with that we have watched Imagination Movers on TV a lot!  Currently rearing the end of their tour we caught their show up in Hartford, CT at the Infinity Music Hall, which is perfect for a concert.   My kids have never been to a concert before and this was a perfect pick for their first show!  We have been to plenty of shows in the past, Disney on Ice, Thomas at NYBG, and Sesame Street Live, but this was very different.  The Imagination Movers Tour was perfect for their first concert.

Just like any concert, in the lobby they have concert T-Shirts and CDs for sale (which can also be found on their website).  Walking in we took our seats and waited for it to start.  Jack, my photographer in training, grabbed daddy’s phone to start taking pictures.   At 1:30 on the dot, Imagination Movers came out and started rocking.  By the second song in the camera went down and he started dancing.  As the Imagination Movers say, we always have three instruments on us at all times: our hands, feet and mouth!  The Infinity Music Hall is a smaller venue and it’s intimacy was perfect between the group high five, beach balls bouncing around the audience, toilet paper gun and vortex shooter. image

I turned into a groupie along with Jack and Charlotte while at the show.  Scott, Dave, Rich, Smitty and Kyle on drums were AWESOME!  These guys, I mean these DADs (3 of them are) know how to rock, actually did you know they all left jobs to make Imagination Movers, after forming in 2003.  Tim and I were rocking out to the songs, many of the songs started as “our songs” Rage Against the Machine, Offspring, Boys to Men, Pharrell and Taylor Swift, clever guys, very clever.  The kids and I were out of our seats the whole show, mostly dancing up next to the stage. image

There is a reason these guys are Emmy Award Winning, they are talented performers, and multitaskers:  photo-ops while performing, running around the audience, high fives to the fans, or Jack’s favorite putting toilet paper on his head! They have a few shows left for this tour, check out if they will be near you, if so GO!  You will not be disappointed, just may not see your kids during the show.  At our show at the end, the Movers handed out drumsticks to their fans, lucky Jack was handed one and thinks he is the coolest kid ever.  It made his day and made my day seeing him so happy.
