Historic Hudson Valley CORNucopia
This Labor Day Weekend, August 31-September 1, from 10am-5pm each day. Historic Hudson Valley CORNucopia will be at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow. A Corn festival of the family to Play > Make > Eat > Learn! Great for kids with over fifteen different activities to participate in.
This is an annual event for the Apple Moms team, we love great outdoor fun.
We loved the children games like Konk-a-Crow and mini raise maze, which was done over and over again.
Some of our pictures for years past.
Adults relaxed and listened to live music, drank draft beer and root beer from Captain Lawrence Brewery. Food choices were maize-inspired and Blue Pig had sweet corn ice cream. We made our own scarecrow, made a broom and cornhusk doll. We also learned took a tour of the Gristmill and was able to see the power of water to make corn flour which is sold at Philipsburg Manor still. CORNucopia is one of the many attractions that Philipsburg Manor has throughout the year.
CORNucopia is free to attend for members and $16 at door, $12 for seniors and $8 for children 3-17.
In October Horseman’s Hollow will take place on weekends which is Spooky and Spectacular for ages 10+
