Happy Mother’s Day weekend Apple Moms! We are spending the day at my brother’s which means the hardest part of my day will be getting my kids to leave their Uncle’s house! However, if you are still looking for something to tell your husband that you want to do here are a couple ideas!

Children’s Expo and Public Safety Day: Belle from Beauty and the Beast will be making an appearance at the Children’s Expo. She will sing and tell stories as well as meet and greet children and their families throughout the day. Ready Fox 911 and Save the Children Prep Rally are interactive programs that teach children disaster and emergency preparedness and reponse. Jocko the Magician will entertain you with a high energy, fun magic show. Come pet a comfort dog and hear about the great work they do during and after emergencies.

Mother’s Day Sensory Hours: Sensory Hours allow families with young children with autism and other sensory integration challenges to explore MHCM exhibits in a modified environment with reduced sound, designated quiet spaces, extra visual signage and sensory aids. Sensory Hours are held the second Sunday of each month from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Preregistration is required, as space will be limited.
Moms & Grandmothers are FREE all day!
