Diggerland USA Construction Theme Park
Do your kids scream for or cheer at those giant yellow construction machines? Is your family obsessed with diggers? DIGGERLAND USA in West Berlin, NJ is the place you want to visit then. There are twenty-one rides and attractions that the kids (and parents) can enjoy. My five year old even operated his own digger to search for buried treasure.
DIGGERLAND can be done in one day. I used the map and Operator’s License sheet to track the rides and attractions my family went on and see where to go next. There were plenty of rides we could go on as a family, some my son was able to do alone, many my daughter needed me to be able to do. One issue I came across (but we figured out a plan) is a few of the rides were only adult/child and well with two kids this causes an issue. One ride I another teen offered to ride with my daughter while I rode with my son and another time I went on twice and one child waited as I went on with the other. This is a common occurrence at amusement parks with young kids. Of course it is much easier when adult to child ratio is 1:1.
There were rides for all sorts of fans, SPINDIZZY was just one of those, a fast spinning excavator my son could not stop laughing on. The Sky Shuttle lifted us over 55feet high with great aerial views of the park. My favorite was driving the Argo Off Road vehicle with the kids in the backseat. My son loved operating a mini digger and the Stunt Show, we happened to catch it while having lunch, the Barrel Train all the kids piled in, and Dig-A-Round where you sit in a bucket and circle like a carousel ride.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online to save on ticket prices. Children under 36″ are free, Children under 42″ are $24.95 ($26.95 at gate) Above 42″ is$29.95 ($34.95 at gate) Non riding Seniors over 65 are free. Parking is free.
Hours: Open WEEKENDS now through November 2015. Check Back for Spring hours. Check schedule when planning visit.
Tips:
- Outside food and drink are not allowed inside. Menu items average around $8, pavilion with benches with fans nearby to eat.
- Closed toe shoes if want to do ropes course or rockfall (children and adults)
- $10 DIGGERLAND USA Operator’s License makes a great souvenir, track which rides/attractions and turn in at Retail Store for Printed Photo ID
