Day Out With Thomas in Strasburg, PA

This was the fifth Day Out With Thomas my son Jack attended, his second at Strasburg Rail Road.  Our first year my family rode on Percy, great extra ride (not available at all locations). We arrived 3 hours before our ride, giving us plenty of time to do all the activities, shopping and rides Strasburg offers. We are what I consider ultimate Thomas Fans and I am a self proclaimed Thomas Mom.

Photo experiences: There are several photo opportunities- Thomas, Percy, Sir Tophman Hatt and on the trains. You can purchase individual photos or all digital files (best deal).  You can also take your own photos at all these locations too.

Shopping: There are always DOWT Exclusive items, but the cargo car is the dated item you want for wooden trains.  Strasburg also has many neat train items in gift shops too.  There is also a HUGE tent with clothing, house and toys outside, three shopping areas in total.

Under the tent:  Kids can check out the latest DVD, food choices and tons of tables.  Live musical entertainment, checking out the new APP on the iPads, riding Thomas on tracks and playing with Thomas MEGABLOKS and building track tracks on the floor with tons of Thomas toys.  This is also a great place for parents to sit and catch their breath for a few minutes while the kids play.
