Today we have Jessica Neuner, our Apple Mom of Putnam County.  She is a mom of one, 18 month old little boy named Noah and a military wife, altogether one incredible military family.

What does a typical day look like for you? A typical day in the life for us is pretty simple. Noah is my alarm clock, he decides when the day starts.  We eat breakfast, cuddle on the couch, and then get ready for whatever it is that day has to offer. After all is said and done, we eat dinner, take a bath, cuddle and nurse until he’s asleep.

What is your favorite memory of being a mom so far? Being a mom is more fulfilling than I could have imagined, but my favorite moment thus far would have to be the day my son met his father. My husband was deployed when I had Noah so he didn’t get to meet him until 3 months later. Noah couldn’t take his eyes off of Nick and he melted right into his arms. He knew exactly who his daddy was. This moment is burned into my memory forever.

imageWhat is a funny mom moment you have had? The funniest moment would have to be one of the first times I took Noah to the doctor. I didn’t pack enough diapers or wipes and I forgot a change of clothes. Needless to say, Noah had the most epic blowout to date! I wrapped him in blankets and burp cloths, dropped the mess into the garbage, and went on my way. The next doctor visit there was a note on the wall telling people to bring their dirty diapers with them due to the lingering smell in the office. Woops.

In your free time what do you like to do?  Free time is pretty sparse since I am a stay at home mom, but when I do get a minute to myself I enjoy the simple things like painting my nails, editing photos from that day (I’m a self proclaimed momarazzi), or even eating a cookie without having to share.

Current favorite show you are watching?  I’m embarrassed to say, but if I’m being honest then its Pretty Little Liars, I’ve been hooked since the first season. Who is A?!!?

Book you are reading now? I just started Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey,  about the author’s experiences and time spent working in Arches National Park.

In your county where are you favorite places to go with your kids/family?  One of my favorite places to visit in this county is Cold Spring. The antique stores, the specialty shops, the waterfront, the hikes with amazing views, the restaurants. You can always find something to do there.

What makes county special?  What makes our county special is the nature. We are surrounded by so much natural beauty and we often take that for granted.

Thanks again Jessica, we think your family is lovely and thank your husband for his service!
